Day 16: One Shot At Hope

that yellow
hugging the ground
your one crack at hope
so you wait

thinking of the day
when the fluffy, white
spheres of wishes and desires
can tangent hold on hope

returning to that field
where hope was born
where hope should have risen with the wind
hope dies
like the shriveled stalks left behind.

Dandelion. It was suppose to be Day 15’s prompt but I forgot, whoops. I had a different version of this at the beginning of the month but I’ve forgotten it since then. Note to self, write more than one word for that great poem you need to remember to write down later.
